What is COOLSCULPTING Elite?

CoolSculpting Elite is the updated version of the legacy CoolSculpting Advantage applicator.

Fat cells can be eliminated from the body using CoolSculpting, a non-invasive, non-surgical medical procedure. It has a number of advantages over conventional surgical methods, making it a suitable option for people who are thinking about getting rid of extra body weight.

Fat cells are frozen and destroyed during the CoolSculpting treatment, which is also known as cryolipolysis. The initial coolsculpting device employed a vacuum to suck fat between two panels that gently chilled the area, keeping the skin from freezing and only allowing fat cells to undergo “apoptosis”—the death of all other cell types—in the process. The body gradually eliminates the frozen, dead fat cells.

On average, fat reduction of 20 – 27% has been observed.

WHAT DOES COOLSCULPTING TREAT?

Coolsculpting is also known as a treatment option for:

  • Under the chin

  • Upper Arm
  • Flank
  • Abdomen
  • Banana roll
  • Thigh

What are the differences between Coolsculpting Elite and Coolsculpting?

#1 Work on two areas at one time

To freeze more fat in less time, CoolSculpting® Elite comes with two applicators on each machine.

Due to the dual applicators’ ability to treat two areas simultaneously rather than sequentially, appointment durations are drastically reduced.

#2 Increased in 18% Treatment Area Coverage leading to more overall fat reduction

In each cycle, the CoolSculpting® Elite technology handpieces cool more tissue due to better contact with the treatment region according to their newly developed design. In a single session, 20–25% of fat can be removed using the Coolsculpting Elite, but the results are greater than before because more tissue is treated by each handpiece.

#3 More Comfortable Treatment Experience

The CoolSculpting Elite applicators now have an updated design. The previous coolsculpting sessions could have felt a little tight and uncomfortable. For the best results and comfort, the redesigned contour handpieces better conform to the natural curves of our body. Less pressure is placed on the tissue thanks to the new C-shaped contour rather than the U-shaped one. Treatment is more soothing, and discomfort following treatment is barely noticeable.

#4 Improved in Overall Safety Profile

With CoolSculpting Elite, the region treated has relatively lesser squeezing. Squeezing is believed to have decreased the oxygenation of the treated fat and led to the possibility of Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia (PAH), a condition in which a treated area can become solid and expand rather than contract.

Over the past ten years, there have been about 1 in 4,000 Coolsculpting cycles with this negative effect. PAH can typically be successfully corrected with Kybella or liposuction, though there is a chance of adverse effects from these remedial procedures. The new CoolSculpting Elite system has not yet been associated with any occurrences of PAH, and we are hopeful that by reducing pressure on the treated tissue, this already rare adverse effect will become even more so.

#5 Wide range of improved applicators

CoolSculpting Elite features a total of seven applicators in different sizes and shapes, allowing CoolSculpting practitioners to place them to best fit the contours of the body for the best outcomes.

How does COOLSCULPTING Elite work?

The technology is based on the concept that fat cells can be killed by extreme cold without causing any damage to the rest of the cells in the region. The procedure freezes the fat cells in a particular area of the body, killing them in the process. After which, the body will absorb the dead fat cells over time, leaving the region with a reduced number of fat cells.

Unlike other fat and weight loss procedures that simply shrink the fat cells,  Coolsculpting technology freezes away the fat which is then flushed out naturally by the body.

WHO IS COOLSCULPTING Elite FOR?

Coolsculpting works best for people with health BMI range, who are looking to remove stubborn pockets of fat that diet and exercise cannot shift. A consultation with Dr. Elias Tam is required to determine if you are a suitable candidate for Coolsculpting.

COOLSCULPTING x eha eXPERIENCE

The desired area of treatment is first assessed by the doctor, then the coolsculpting applicator is applied to the treatment area. Appropriate measurements are taken. A 360 degree cup applicator is applied to the treatment area to protect the skin. As the treatment begins, a vacuum sensation is felt and cooling begins.

Treatment duration is typically from 35 minutes to 75 mins depending on the type of applicator and number of treatments.

Mild redness and numbness are common post-treatment.
