EHA AgeDefy Program

The EHA AgeDefy Program is a personalised, multi-modality anti-ageing treatment framework that combines injectable treatments and energy-based technologies to address the multiple structural and functional changes that occur as the face ages. Rather than treating a single concern with a single device, the program is designed around the understanding that facial ageing involves simultaneous changes at different tissue depths — from the surface skin down through the dermis, subcutaneous fat, supporting ligaments, facial muscles, and bony skeleton — and that an effective approach needs to address these layers in a coordinated way.

The program is not a fixed package. It is a framework within which the doctor builds a treatment plan tailored to the individual’s anatomy, skin condition, areas of concern, and goals. Some patients may need only one or two modalities; others may benefit from a broader combination approach across several sessions. The specific treatments selected, their sequencing, and the intervals between them are determined at consultation and reviewed as the treatment progresses.

Two Tracks Within the Program

The AgeDefy Program encompasses two complementary treatment tracks, which may be used individually or combined based on the individual’s assessment:

Track 1

Non-Invasive Lifting & Tightening (Energy-Based)

For individuals who prefer a non-invasive approach — no needles, no incisions — or whose primary concerns are skin laxity, firmness, and skin quality rather than volume restoration. This track uses energy-based devices (HIFU, ultrasound, radiofrequency, fractional laser, and HIFEM) to address the skin’s deeper structural layers and stimulate collagen and elastin remodelling from within.

Track 2

Injectable & Combined Program

For individuals with concerns that also involve volume loss, structural descent of facial soft tissue, or skin quality issues that may respond to injectable approaches — or those who want to combine energy-based treatments with injectables for a more comprehensive outcome. This track includes all modalities from Track 1, plus injectable options such as dermal fillers, skinboosters, thread lifts, and ligament lifting.

Why a Multi-Modality Approach?

Visible facial ageing results from simultaneous changes across several tissue levels — no single treatment modality can address all of them effectively. Understanding these changes helps explain why a layered, multi-modality approach is often more effective than a single treatment:

Tissue Level What Changes with Age Modalities That Address This
Epidermis and superficial skin
Reduced cellular turnover; uneven pigmentation; enlarged pores; dullness; fine surface lines
Multifrax Digital Peel Laser; Collagen Growth Skinbooster; skinboosters
Deep dermis
Reduced collagen and elastin density; loss of structural support and hydration
Monopolar RF (Volnewmer); Gold RF Microneedling; Multifrax 1550nm
SMAS and fascial layers
Laxity of the Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System — the structural layer that supports facial contour
HIFU Plus; Ultraformer MPT; Ultherapy Prime
Facial retaining ligaments
Elongation and laxity of ligaments that anchor the skin and soft tissue to the skeleton
Ligament Lifting (filler-based); Thread Lift
Subcutaneous fat compartments
Deflation and downward displacement of fat pads
Dermal Fillers; Ultraformer MPT (body/fat layer); Volnewmer (deeper settings)
Facial muscles
Gradual atrophy and reduction in facial muscle tone
WonderFace (HIFEM)
Skeletal support
Reduction in underlying bony volume — contributes to hollowing at temples, cheeks, chin
Dermal Fillers (deep placement)

The AgeDefy Program allows the doctor to select and sequence treatments from across these levels based on the individual’s specific pattern of ageing
— addressing the causes at each layer that are most relevant to that patient’s concerns.

What is Included in the Program?

Injectable Treatments
(Track 2 only)

Dermal Fillers

Hyaluronic acid-based gel injections used to restore volume in areas that have deflated with age — including the cheeks, temples, under-eye hollows, nasolabial folds, and jawline — or to provide structural support for features such as the chin and lips. The doctor selects the filler type, placement depth, and volume based on the individual’s anatomy and goals.

Ligament Lifting

A targeted filler technique that places high-cohesivity filler at the periosteal base of the facial retaining ligaments, reinforcing the mechanical suspension of the overlying soft tissue. Addresses facial descent that is structurally driven by ligament laxity rather than volume loss alone.

Collagen Growth Skinbooster

A polynucleotide (PN/PDRN) injectable that uses DNA-derived biopolymers to support fibroblast activity and the skin’s own collagen and ECM production. Addresses skin quality concerns including texture, pore size, redness, and fine lines through a repair-signalling mechanism rather than volume replacement.

Threadlift

Absorbable threads are placed beneath the skin to provide immediate mechanical repositioning of descended soft tissue and stimulate progressive collagen production around the threads. Used for mild to moderate laxity in the midface, lower face, and neck.

Energy-Based Treatments
(Both Tracks)

HIFU

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) targets the SMAS layer, dermis, and — at deeper settings — subcutaneous fat, stimulating collagen remodelling for progressive skin tightening and contouring. Used for the face, neck, décolletage, and body.

HIFU Plus

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound targeting the SMAS layer and deep dermis via four transducer depths (2.0mm–6.0mm), stimulating collagen remodelling for progressive skin tightening and jawline definition.

Ultherapy Prime

Micro-Focused Ultrasound with Visualisation (MFU-V) — the only ultrasound lifting device that uses real-time DeepSEE® imaging to visualise tissue layers during treatment before energy is delivered. Targets the brow, lower face, neck, and décolletage at depths of 1.5mm, 3.0mm, and 4.5mm.

Volnewmer (Monopolar Radiofrequency)

Monopolar RF energy delivered through the Volnewmer system to heat the deep dermis and subcutaneous tissue, stimulating collagen remodelling for progressive skin tightening and body contouring. Uses four interchangeable cartridges for different areas and depths.

Multifrax Digital Peel Laser

Dual-wavelength non-ablative fractional laser combining 1550nm (deep dermis — collagen remodelling, acne scar improvement) and 1927nm (superficial dermis — pigmentation, texture, skin tone). Suitable for all Fitzpatrick skin types.

WonderFace (HIFEM Technology)

High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy stimulates involuntary facial muscle contractions to support muscle tone in the cheeks, jawline, and lower face — addressing the muscle atrophy component of facial ageing that energy-based skin tightening devices do not directly target.

The AgeDefy Program Process

SKIN ANALYSIS

1. Consultation and Assessment

The program begins with a detailed consultation with one of our medical doctors. During this assessment, the doctor examines the key facial changes present — including the degree of skin laxity, areas of volume loss, skin quality concerns, and the structural changes underlying the visible concerns. Your treatment history, medical history, current medications, and aesthetic goals are reviewed. Based on this assessment, the doctor recommends a personalised treatment plan specifying which modalities are appropriate, in which sequence, and at what intervals.

2. Personalised Treatment Plan

The doctor will recommend only the treatments that are clinically appropriate for your specific pattern of ageing, skin condition, and goals. Not all modalities in the program are used for every patient. The plan will specify the recommended track (energy-based only, or combined injectable and energy-based), the specific treatments, the session schedule, and the expected progression of outcomes over the program.

3. Treatment Sessions

Treatments are administered by medical doctors at EHA Clinic. The sequence and timing between sessions are designed to allow each treatment’s effects to develop before the next modality is layered in. Some treatments — such as HIFU-based devices — stimulate progressive collagen remodelling over 2–3 months and may only need to be repeated once a year. Others — such as skinboosters and fractional laser — require a series of sessions closer together for cumulative effect.

4. Progress Review and Adjustment

At scheduled review appointments, the doctor assesses your skin’s response and adjusts the treatment plan as needed. As the overall program progresses, different concerns may become priorities — for example, after initial skin quality improvement with the Digital Peel Laser, the focus may shift to structural lifting with a HIFU-based device. The program is designed to evolve with your skin’s changing needs.

Who is the AgeDefy Program For?

The program may be suitable for individuals with:

  1. Dynamic wrinkles (forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet) that become more prominent with expression
  2. Fine lines and early static wrinkles due to reduced skin collagen
  3. Mild to moderate skin laxity in the midface, lower face, jawline, or neck
  4. Volume loss in areas such as the cheeks, temples, under-eye hollows, or chin
  5. Skin quality concerns including dullness, uneven texture, enlarged pores, or reduced hydration
  6. Facial asymmetry or contour changes that impact overall facial balance
  7. Those who have not had aesthetic treatments before and want a structured, medically guided starting point
  8. Those seeking to maintain or build on prior treatments with a consistent plan

The program may NOT be suitable for individuals with:

  1. Active skin infections or inflamed skin conditions in the planned treatment areas
  2. Certain medical conditions (autoimmune disease, bleeding disorders, active inflammatory conditions) — assessed individually at consultation
  3. Pregnancy or breastfeeding (for certain or all modalities depending on individual plan)
  4. Implanted electronic devices such as pacemakers (relevant specifically for Monopolar RF modality)
  5. Unrealistic expectations about the degree of correction achievable with non-surgical and minimally invasive approaches

Full suitability screening — including medical history review, contraindication assessment, and informed consent — is conducted at consultation before any treatment in the program proceeds.

What Results Can You Expect

Progressive, not immediate

The AgeDefy Program is designed for gradual, progressive improvement over the course of the treatment plan. Each modality works through biological processes — collagen remodelling, fibroblast activation, cellular turnover — that take weeks to months to fully develop. Some early changes (such as improved skin hydration and texture after skinbooster or fractional laser sessions) may be noticeable within a few weeks. Structural improvements from HIFU-based treatments typically peak at 2–3 months post-treatment.

Layered across tissue levels

Because the program addresses multiple tissue levels simultaneously over the course of the plan, the cumulative improvement is typically more comprehensive than any single treatment can achieve alone — addressing surface skin quality, dermal structural support, SMAS-level lifting, and facial volume in a coordinated sequence.

Maintenance is part of the plan

Ageing is an ongoing process. Periodic maintenance sessions are recommended to sustain the improvements achieved and to address new concerns as they develop over time. The frequency of maintenance depends on the modalities used, the individual’s skin condition, and lifestyle factors.

Results vary between individuals. Outcomes depend on the specific treatments included, the individual’s skin condition and age, the number of sessions completed, lifestyle factors (particularly sun protection), and adherence to post-treatment care. Results cannot be guaranteed. The program does not produce permanent results — ageing continues, and ongoing maintenance is part of the treatment approach.

Side Effects and Risks

The AgeDefy Program combines multiple treatment modalities, each of which has its own side effect profile. The overall risk profile of the program is the sum of the individual treatments included in the patient’s personalised plan.

General common effects across energy-based modalities:

  • Mild redness, warmth, and temporary swelling at the treatment site (resolves within hours to days)
  • Mild tenderness in the treated area
  • Temporary sensitivity

General common effects for injectable modalities:

  • Redness, swelling, and tenderness at injection sites (resolves within 1–3 days)
  • Bruising (risk varies by area and technique; resolves within days to weeks)
  • Temporary asymmetry or unevenness as swelling resolves

Risks specific to individual treatments included in the plan are explained in full on each treatment's dedicated page and at the consultation prior to that treatment. Key examples:

  • Vascular occlusion risk with any filler injection — hyaluronidase is available at EHA Clinic for emergency management
  • Pacemaker/implanted device contraindication for Monopolar RF (Volnewmer)
  • Fish allergy contraindication for Collagen Growth Skinbooster (PN/PDRN)

Full details of side effects and risks for each treatment are discussed at consultation, and informed consent is obtained individually for each modality before treatment proceeds.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the EHA AgeDefy Program?

The AgeDefy Program is EHA Clinic’s personalised anti-ageing treatment framework, combining injectable and energy-based treatments to address multiple aspects of facial ageing in a structured, doctor-guided plan. It is not a fixed package — the specific treatments, sequence, and session plan are tailored to each individual at consultation based on their facial anatomy, skin condition, and goals.

Individual treatment pages on the clinic website describe single modalities (e.g. HIFU Plus, Dermal Fillers, Multifrax Digital Peel Laser). The AgeDefy Program is a consultation-based framework that determines which of these individual modalities are most appropriate for a given individual, in what sequence and combination, to address their pattern of ageing comprehensively. Many patients seeking overall facial rejuvenation benefit from a combination approach rather than a single treatment.

The Revitalift Program was EHA Clinic’s non-invasive, energy-based-only track — addressing skin laxity, tightening, and skin quality without injectables. This track has been incorporated into the broader AgeDefy Program as the energy-based pathway. Patients seeking a purely non-invasive approach (no needles) can be directed to energy-based modalities only within the AgeDefy Program framework — the program accommodates both tracks.

No. The program lists all available treatment options across both tracks. At consultation, the doctor will recommend only the treatments that are clinically appropriate and suitable for your specific concerns, skin condition, and goals. A patient with early skin laxity and good skin quality may need only one or two energy-based sessions. A patient with both volume loss and skin quality concerns may benefit from a combined injectable and energy-based plan. The plan is entirely personalised.

This depends entirely on the modalities selected and the individual’s skin condition. Energy-based treatments such as HIFU or Ultherapy Prime may only require one session per year as a maintenance treatment. Skin quality treatments such as the Digital Peel Laser or Collagen Growth Skinbooster typically require a series of 3–5 sessions over several weeks. The doctor will provide a session schedule and cost estimate at consultation after assessing your specific needs.

Yes. The energy-based treatments in the program (HIFU Plus, Ultraformer MPT, Ultherapy Prime, Volnewmer, Multifrax Digital Peel Laser, WonderFace) are all non-invasive and involve no needle injections. Patients who prefer a non-injectable approach can be treated entirely within the energy-based track, which was previously offered as the standalone Revitalift Program.

Initial improvements in skin hydration and texture may be noticeable within a few weeks of the first skin quality treatment. Structural improvements from HIFU-based collagen remodelling typically develop progressively over 2–3 months post-treatment. The full cumulative effect of a combination program is typically most evident after the initial series of treatments has been completed and the tissue remodelling has had time to mature. Results vary between individuals.

No. All non-surgical treatments produce results that are maintained for a period before ageing continues. Collagen remodelling from energy-based devices typically lasts 9–18 months. Dermal filler results typically last 6–18 months depending on the product used. Maintenance sessions are recommended as part of the ongoing program to sustain the improvements achieved.

Anti-ageing and aesthetic skin treatments are elective cosmetic procedures and are not covered by MediSave. Most standard insurance policies do not cover purely aesthetic procedures. Please check with your insurer for details.

Each treatment included in the program has its own risk profile, explained in full on its dedicated treatment page and at the pre-treatment consultation. Informed consent is obtained for each modality before it is performed. All treatments are administered by registered medical doctors at EHA Clinic. Emergency protocols — including hyaluronidase for vascular complications with fillers — are in place at the clinic.

The program begins with a consultation appointment with one of our medical doctors. During the consultation, your skin condition, concerns, medical history, and goals are assessed, and a personalised treatment plan is developed. Treatments do not proceed without prior consultation and informed consent.

Cost depends on several factors — the treatment area(s), number of sessions needed, treatment modes and settings used, and any concurrent treatments. A personalised cost estimate will be provided during the consultation.

Certain conditions may make a patient unsuitable or require extra caution, including: pregnancy or breastfeeding, active skin infections or open wounds, implanted electronic devices (e.g. pacemakers), blood-clotting disorders or anticoagulant use, recent isotretinoin use (within 6–12 months), skin cancer or undiagnosed lesions, gold or nickel allergy, and certain autoimmune conditions. The doctor will review the full medical history during the consultation.

Pre-treatment: Avoid strong sun exposure; discontinue certain topical agents (e.g. retinoids, acids) as advised by the doctor; inform the clinic of full medical history, medications, and any previous skin treatments.

Post-treatment: Follow sunscreen use strictly; avoid direct sun exposure; use gentle skincare products; avoid picking or scratching the treated area; follow the doctor’s or clinic’s aftercare instructions.

Post-treatment care

Post-treatment care varies by modality. The treating doctor will provide specific aftercare instructions before and after each treatment session. The following general guidance applies across most modalities in the program:

  • Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily — this is essential for all modalities in the program, especially pigmentation and skin quality treatments
  • Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks after each treatment session
  • Use gentle, fragrance-free skincare during recovery; avoid active topical ingredients (retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, exfoliating acids) for the period advised after each specific treatment
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and alcohol for 24–48 hours after energy-based and injectable treatments
  • Attend all scheduled follow-up appointments — progress reviews are built into the program structure and are essential for plan adjustments
  • Disclose any new medications, health changes, or skin reactions at each subsequent visit before proceeding with the next treatment session

Specific post-treatment instructions for each modality are available on the relevant individual treatment pages
