What is Facial Contouring?

Face sculpting, sometimes referred to as Facial Contouring, is a cosmetic procedure that reshapes the face to improve or accentuate facial characteristics and hide signs of aging.

To enhance the facial contour and profile, adjustments are performed to the bone structure as well as the soft tissues of the face.

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)

In a non-invasive cosmetic treatment called High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), focused ultrasound energy is used to heat and destroy specific fat cells, creating a slimming and contouring impact.

Despite not being particularly made to treat a round face, it can be incorporated into a larger facial slimming treatment strategy.

Dermal Fillers

The cheekbones and jawline can be emphasized and defined using injections of dermal fillers like hyaluronic acid.

You might be able to use cheek fillers differently to give your face a more contoured appearance if you have a round face.

The “deflated” cheek appearance that many of us notice as we age can also be eliminated with cheek fillers.

Ultrasound Lifting

A non-invasive cosmetic treatment called ultrasound lifting, also referred to as ultrasound facial or ultrasound skin tightening, uses ultrasound energy to tighten the skin and stimulate the production of collagen.

Although it isn’t intended to treat a round face particularly, it can be used as a component of a larger facial lifting and contouring treatment plan.

Botulinum Toxin Injectables

A purified form of botulinum toxin is injected into specific facial muscles during a cosmetic procedure called Botox to briefly paralyze them and lessen the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

It can be used as part of a general facial contouring and slimming treatment plan even though it is not particularly made to treat a round face.

By shrinking overactive facial muscles, like those in the cheekbones or jawline, Botox may help make a round face look better by giving the face a more contoured appearance. To sustain outcomes, Botox treatments must be repeated every 3-6 months. It’s crucial to keep in mind that the effects are only temporary.

Radiofrequency (RF) Treatments

Radiofrequency treatment raises the internal temperature of tissues to stimulate collagen production and increases the circulation, tightening the skin and improving the delivery of nutrients and removal of waste products.

Threadlift

A threadlift is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that tightens and lifts sagging skin using dissolvable sutures.

Although it wasn’t created particularly to treat a round face, it can be used as a component of a larger facial lifting and contouring treatment plan.

By lifting and tightening the skin in specific locations, such as the cheeks and jawline, thread lifts can potentially help improve the look of a round face. Additionally, they might encourage collagen synthesis, giving the skin a more youthful and lifted look.
